Local Beginnings
Worley & Obetz, Inc. has been serving Lancaster County for over half a century. Started in 1946 by Raymond C. Worley and Robert W. Obetz, Sr., we since evolved into Central PA's local Total Home Comfort™ company. Robert W. Obetz, Jr., current Chairman of the Board is a third-generation owner who entered the business in 1970. Current President and CEO, Jeff Lyons, is leading our new culture with a commitment of communication, consistency and accountability.
We offer a wide array of products and services including AmeriGreenTM BioHeating Oil, BioDiesel and E85 Ethanol. We also have propane, Home Comfort Service Plans with 24 hour service, heating and AC installations, duct cleaning, fleet fueling, and a wholesale department. Our diversification also extends to our 8 fueling stations throughout Lancaster County, they all offer AmeriGreenTM BioDiesel. We also offer Solar equipment to heat you home and water as well as geothermal heatpumps, both are better for the environment and help America move towards energy independance. We are currenlty looking into other green technologies such as wind power that will be added to our list of green equipment we have available.

The past eight years we have been in the Top 50 fastest growing companies in Central Pennsylvania, finishing #2 on the list twice and six times we were in the top ten. In addition, we finished in the Top 100 largest Family Owned Businesses for the past seven years. One of our greatest honors, however, was receiving the 2004 Best Places to Work in PA award. In 2008 we were named as one of the top 5 businesses with 101 employees or more in Central Pennsylvania.

Having grown to over 425 million dollars in annual sales we positioned ourselves to assure our automatic customers a secure supply of quality energy and related services. With nearly one million gallons of inventory reserve, we provide customers with protection from interrupted product supply due to bad weather or pipeline issues. A team of 21 quality service and installation technicians provide unequaled service 24 hours a day for all heating, AC, propane and plumbing needs. We have a fleet of 22 bioheating oil trucks, 6 propane bobtail trucks, 6 fleet fueling trucks, and 14 transport trucks that sufficiently take care of our entire customer base.
