E10 is a low-level blend of 10% ethanol and 90% unleaded gasoline that was prompted by the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. This amendment created gasoline standards to reduce vehicle emissions in highly polluted cities by mandating the sale of oxygenated fuels, or fuels blended with an additive like ethanol, in areas with unhealthy levels of carbon monoxide. This initiated the U.S. ethanol industry growth and today is sold in every state making 95% of U.S. gasoline now contains up to 10% ethanol to boost octane, meet air quality requirements, or satisfy the Renewable Fuel Standard.
E10 ethanol blends are covered under warranty for every make and every model of automobile produced by all automobile manufacturers that sell vehicles in the U.S. Many even recommend its use because of its high octane and superior performance characteristics.
Reformulated gasoline (RFG) is gasoline blended to burn cleaner than conventional gasoline that reduces smog-forming and toxic pollutants in the air we breathe. The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 mandated the EPA to develop regulations that require gasoline in particular areas in the United States to be reformulated to reduce vehicle emissions of toxic and ozone-forming compounds. Areas mandated in Pennsylvania include Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Chester Counties.
Although ethanol blended fuels burn cleaner, for peak performance in small engine equipment such as trimmers, leaf blowers, mowers, and so on, many utilize no ethanol gasoline. To meet the needs of our customers, we now offer 91 Premium No Ethanol Gasoline in deliveries of 150 gallons or more. No ethanol gasoline is also available at our various fueling locations.
